I love make up and have no problem splurging on products that I really want. However, when I enjoy doing my make up pretty much every day, products can disappear fast so I like to have a good amount of products that work well and are affordable enough to replace regularly.
After dumping all my makeup on the floor and sorting through them, here are 12 beauty products under $15 that I absolutely love.
1. Colourpop eyeshadow – $5
The Supershock shadows are simply amazing and provide a surprisingly bright, glittery glamorous color. Applied with the finger and silky smooth to the touch, your lids will instantly pop. This LA based online distributor has a wide range of colors to choose from and orders over $30 guarantee free shipping so you’ll have a valid excuse to purchase six eye shadows every time. Plus, your products are always delivered in super cute box like above with a handwritten personal note.
2. Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation – $13.99
Seriously the name says it all – apply this foundation to your face for a flawless complexion and fierce photos (no shine, no lines, no visible pores). This creamy foundations dries matte and leaves a nice glow hiding blemishes easily without the need for concealer. There is also a formula for oily skin.
3. REVLON ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup – $14.99
If you looking for a more dewy finish, I recommend this foundation. A little goes a long way with this product which I like to apply with a sponge. Since it is whipped, it easily smooths lines and wrinkles leaving the skin with a soft airbrushed glow.
4. NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick – $7
If you want a Kylie Jenner pout, these cream lipsticks will definitely do the trick. The creamy liquid lipsticks pack a lot of bursting color and dry with a smooth matte finish. You are going to want to apply generously as it dries pretty quick.
The reason why I love these lashes is because of the band – flexible but not flimsy. Depending on how often you wear lashes, these can last up to a month with daily wear and two if you wear them occasionally. They provide enough drama to make you look like you have doll eyes, all while without looking fake.
6. Volum’ Express The Falsies Flared Mascara – $6.99
I heard a lot of mixed reviews on this mascara but ever since I have discovered it, I have been using Falsies ever since. It lifts, curls and separates and really does give you a falsies look without the need for lashes. The trick is to not over apply becausecan get clumpy. Three to four swoops should give you the dramatic feathered look.
7. Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear – $2.99
I discovered this nail polish in the sale section of Walmart and fell in love with the hot pink, green (shown here) and purple pastel shade. It dries quickly and does not flake. The colors are vibrant and I always get compliments whenever I wear this polish. You can also find this brand in Target where they tend to have more colors.
8. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream– $6
These lip creams are comparable to Dose Of Colors lipsticks. They glide on smooth and leave your lips silky to touch. Even when I eat or drink, the color stays on pretty damn good. Mix the lighter and darker shades for an easy ombre lip. The variety of colors available just blows my mind.
9. Coastal Scents Warm Palette– $9.95
Coastal Scents is always having a sale. Regularly priced at $20, the majority of the eyeshadow palettes are frequently on sale for $9.99. The warm palette is perfect when you need a good base for your crease or whenever you are in the mood to try a smokey eye.
This gel liner comes with an applicator brush which helps the liner go on smooth with no drag. If you hate the after math of liquid liner spreading onto your lower eyelid, this gel liner provides mess free application for a sophisticated Audrey Hepburn finish or the perfect winged cat eye.
11. ECOTOOLS Buffing Brush – $7.99
I own a variety of ECOTOOLS brushes and this one has to be my favorite. I used to apply foundation with sponges but when using the Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation mentioned above, I apply a couple pumps to this brush, dab on the face and buff to a finish. The great thing is since the brush is dense and flat, you only need a few pumps of foundation to get complete coverage when you are buffing into your skin.
12. NYX Face and Body Glitter – $6.00
When you’re looking to add a little more glamour to your look, I highly recommend these loose glitter pigments. I mainly use them on my eyes, applying a light layer on top of my current eyeshadow to brighten.
